Conservation
In 2019, Asilia launched a project to learn more about the Usangu Wetlands region of Ruaha National Park. The research seeks to determine how the area could be sustainably developed to promote investment for safari tourism, while also assessing needs in terms of infrastructural and conservation upgrades.
Environment
Elephant Bedroom Camp’s parent company, Asilia is recognised in the top 10% of ‘impact’ companies worldwide by the Global Impact Investment Rating System thanks to the positive impact they make in the areas they work.
Community
Asilia runs the Twende Porini programme which involves inviting children from local communities and villages to stay in Asilia camps for a few days and take part in wildlife education and game drives. In this way perceptions and, ultimately, attitudes change, leading to the creation of future conservationists.
