The View Of Samburuland From The Lodge Saruni Samburu
Location
The best vantage point from which to gaze upon Samburu is probably the infinity pool at Saruni Samburu lodge. Perched in the hills of the private Kalama Conservancy this superb six suite hideaway is a classic example of the quality of a safari with Journeysmiths.

The Kalama Conservancy is almost five times bigger than the Samburu National Reserve which it adjoins - and you have it to yourselves.

Samburu is hot, dry lion and elephant country and the Ewaso Nyiro river meanders through craggy hills and forests as a life-giving thread. Your samburu warrior guide will help you explore on foot, and on fascinating nocturnal safaris under an awesome star filled canopy.

The Best View In Kenya
Saruni Samburu’s villas are designed harmoniously with nature. Built into the rock and harnessing natural shade, they stay blissfully cool despite the warm Samburu sun.

You will stay in one of four two-bedroom family suites, with an expansive lounge, en suite bathrooms and a deck to watch elephants gather below.

Children will love splashing in the pool - meanwhile, parents can enjoy spa treatments in the Samburu Wellbeing Space.

Safari Activities and Samburu Wildlife
With so much space to explore, we are certain you’ll never hear, ‘What’s next?’ from buzzing youngsters.

Local guides take you in search of wildlife across three reserves; the Samburu National Reserve, the Buffalo Springs National Reserve and the lodge’s own private Kalama Conservancy.

You will enjoy game drives day and night, guided walking safaris, and sunrise bush breakfasts. Summiting Mount Ololokwe is an intrepid trek, but rewards you with its breathtaking views of the dusty plains below.
