Beaches

It is easy to combine your perfect safari with a few days of pampering on an idyllic tropical beach.  As you’d expect, Africa Exclusive uses only the finest ingredients in its collection of beach hideaways, from sumptuous world class hotels in Mauritius to the chance to be “Robinson Crusoe” on a small private island in the Quirimbas Archipelago.

Selecting the perfect beach for you requires as much expertise as arranging your safari.  Mauritius, the Seychelles, Mozambique, Zanzibar and other destinations each provide a different experience in the styles of the hotels, water sport options, service levels, island hopping, air links and weather.  There is also the important question of whether you visit the beach before or after your safari.  So call us at an early stage so that we can plan the perfect itinerary.

You may feel that the ideal complement to a small luxury safari lodge in an idyllic wilderness setting is an idyllic beach setting.  Some of the world’s finest small island lodges are located on tiny islands off the African coast.  At Quilalea you share this tiny Mozambican island with no more than 16 other people surrounded by some of the finest diving reefs in the world.  Others prefer a really smart hotel with six star service, a spa and the full range of sporting activities, in which case you should head for Mauritius or Dubai.  On the spice island of Zanzibar and the tiny Lamu you can watch dhows fishing and trading as they have for thousands of years, plying their way across the oceans to Arabia and the Near East.
