Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a Tanzania safari with a difference! As long as you have a reasonable level of fitness and healthy respiratory system you can make the climb part of your African holiday.
At 19, 340 feet, Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and getting to the top can seem like quite a challenge! Surprisingly though, the ascent is more of a walk than a climb and is certainly achievable if you’re determined to reach the very top.
At Africa Exclusive we make sure all our clients use the very best route possible; that means we make sure you’re not constantly walking through crowds and that you have superb views along the way! We have a variety of attractive routes to choose from, including the Lemosho Route, the Rongau Route the Machame Route. Generally speaking these take a little longer, around six to seven days but they are also incredibly scenic and very interesting.
As you pass through gorges and ridgelines you’ll be accompanied an experienced guide as well as incredibly fit and cheerful porters who ensure your stay is entirely comfortable. They’ll walk ahead of you setting up a fantastic private camp and preparing a tasty hot meal ready for your arrival!
