Family Safaris

Why take a family safari with us?

Africa Exclusive has fifteen years experience arranging unforgettable family safaris. Whether it's your first safari with children under twelve, or a 'last family holiday adventure' with teenagers before they leave for university. We plan every detail of the itinerary with you to ensure there is something for everyone and each day is perfect.

What makes the perfect family safari?

A safari that ensures the needs, expected level of comfort, individual interests, and of course the safety of your troop are foremost in the planning of such a memorable trip.

With these factors in place we can design a family safari that is unforgettable, enjoyable for all family members and perhaps even a little educational.

Add that together with amazing wildlife encounters on vast open plains with your professional guide and it is easy to see that a safari is one of the most exciting and rewarding adventures a family can undertake.

At what age should children go on safari?

Where younger children are concerned a safari isn't just about game viewing.  Safaris inspire children aged six and over in many ways, so after a morning watching a hundred elephant splashing and wallowing at a waterhole, they can spend the afternoon on a beginners tracking course, playing with local Masai children, or learning the medicinal use of plants from a bushman guide.

Safaris also make the best teenage family holidays - imagine a day canoeing together down the Zambezi.... or stealthily creeping up on a herd of giraffe, all with superb guides.

After an exhilarating and exhausting day and sitting down to a hearty (and nutritional) meal under a star filled sky you'll fall into bed full of anticipation of what is in store tomorrow..

You can also combine time on safari with a city like Cape Town or a sun-drenched beach - maybe somewhere like a remote Mozambique island or a luxurious five-star hotel in the Seychelles or Mauritius.
