Skeleton Coast Fly in Safari

The Skeleton Coast is one of the most hauntingly beautiful wilderness areas in Southern Africa. Great Atlantic breakers pound the seashore which is sometimes shrouded in mists which provide almost the only source of water for the plants, birds and wildlife. The shoreline is littered with huge whale bones, the remains of shipwrecks and giant seal colonies surrounded by scavenging jackals. A little inland you find the steep sided Hoarusib Canyon, seemingly endless dunescapes swirled into fantastic shapes by the wind, and giant ‘clay castles.’ For anything to survive here is a miracle, yet there are desert adapted plants and small oases which incredibly support black rhinoceros, desert elephant, leopard, ostrich and other creatures.

They have comfortable bush camps set up at 3 contrasting points along the coastline, the last one being on the banks of the fast flowing Kunene River where you can enjoy a boat ride down the steep sided walls of the Kunene Canyon on this crocodile infested river.
