Ellerman House in South Africa’s Cape Town has recently launched their new Wine Gallery and private villa. The new wine gallery provides sophisticated storage for the house’s 7500 bottle strong collection of vintage and rare wines. It’s made of natural materials, woods, granite, metal and carbon, and reflects the shape of grapevines in the design. Guests can visit the cellar to try the wine, see the maturation cellars and the Champagne Cellar. There’s even an interactive multimedia library and special Ellerman House wine app for guests too.
The new villa is something truly special, built above the wine gallery. It is for exclusive use only and has been designed with guests’ privacy in mind. The building floods with natural light and has two levels with private outdoor terraces and beautiful sea views. The first level comprises three well-appointed rooms, each spacious with an open plan bathroom, a study area and surround-sound mini cinema area for relaxing during the evenings. Upstairs, you’ll find entertainment, dining and living areas which lead out to a patio and a private infinity pool. Use of the villa also comes with its own private staff and chef.

There is a world of difference between one of our tailormade safaris and most package holidays printed in a brochure. Package holidays are usually designed to be as cheap as possible and of course involve large numbers of people doing the same thing. Our safaris use small, more exclusive and remote camps usually with guests flying in, and often virtually everything is included in the price. The experience is completely different.
Many of these small lodges and camps have broadly similar prices, and it is possible to arrange a superb two week safari for between £4,000 to £7,000 per person ($7,000 – $11,000) season dependant, all inclusive. Realistically it is difficult to reduce that figure, and by including Botswana in peak season, chartering a private plane, disappearing to some magical desert island, or flying at the front of the plane it’s easy to substantially increase that figure!
