In one of their sumptuous exhibitions, the Victoria and Albert Museum asked “What is luxury?” They recognised it has a long history of controversy. For some, it’s about materials. Others focus on craftsmanship, exclusivity, or service. Our definition reflects our cultural values as well as our personal tastes.
