Singita Boulders Lodge is situated in a grove of giant ebony and knobthorn trees above the steep banks of the Sand River in the game rich bush of the Sabi Sands Reserve.
The airy main lodge has sweeping views over the river and open plain beyond, with a leisure deck overhanging the river – an ideal venue for relaxation and dining al fresco.
Singita Boulders has an extensive wine cellar, a library and reading room, a health club with gymnasium and a beautiful pool cantilevered off a riverbank. The standard of cuisine at Singita Boulders is exceptional and delicious meals can be enjoyed in the privacy of your suite, in the dining lodge, around the open air boma, or you might be treated to a surprise dinner in the bush.
Sleeping just twenty-four people, Singita provides an exceptionally high quality safari experience. Each of the twelve luxurious suites has a very large bedroom, lounge and bathroom, all air-conditioned and with wonderful views across the Sand River. Each suite also has a private pool.
Of all the reserves adjoining the Kruger, Sabi Sands has perhaps the greatest richness of wildlife with large herds of elephant, a wide variety of antelope and good size herds of buffalo which in turn attract impressive lion prides, the elusive leopard and streamlined cheetah.
The astonishing diversity of shapes and sizes of African wildlife can all be enjoyed here as you watch immensely tall giraffe sharing a waterhole with a family of busy-looking warthog, while a little way through the bush might be several rhinoceros which appear to be designed more for pre-historic times.
The large Singita private reserve provides some of the most exciting and diverse game viewing experiences anywhere in Africa, enjoyed in the company of highly expert guides by open vehicle. You can also enjoy exciting night drives using a spotlight to encounter nocturnal species such as aardvark, porcupine and leopard on the prowl.
You can also enjoy fascinating bush walks when your guides’ knowledge and experience becomes most apparent as he explains the difference between a leopard track and a lion track. The bush is very varied and occasionally you will cautiously track an elephant or giraffe or other creatures, or pause for twenty minutes or so under cover, watching animals coming down to a waterhole to drink or interact.
This is a place where you can enjoy some of the finest game viewing that South Africa has to offer, combined with the intimacy of staying in a luxurious intimate lodge of the highest quality on offer anywhere on the continent.

There is a world of difference between one of our tailormade safaris and most package holidays printed in a brochure. Package holidays are usually designed to be as cheap as possible and of course involve large numbers of people doing the same thing. Our safaris use small, more exclusive and remote camps usually with guests flying in, and often virtually everything is included in the price. The experience is completely different.
Many of these small lodges and camps have broadly similar prices, and it is possible to arrange a superb two week safari for between £4,000 to £7,000 per person ($7,000 – $11,000) season dependant, all inclusive. Realistically it is difficult to reduce that figure, and by including Botswana in peak season, chartering a private plane, disappearing to some magical desert island, or flying at the front of the plane it’s easy to substantially increase that figure!
