Situated on the Singita Private Game Reserve, in the game rich Sabi Sand Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park, lies Castleton Camp, sprawled across open savannah plains and overlooking a huge water hole.
Castleton Camp is a delightfully unpretentious and yet luxurious retreat.
Once the exciting game viewing and bush activities of the day are over, a central dining and lounge area beckons guests to come and relax in comfortable deep armchairs and sofas. A large, filtered swimming pool provides the perfect means of cooling off during the heat of a Lowveld summer.
Drinks are served on the patio before either enjoying a delightful gourmet dinner in the reed-enclosed boma under the stars, or sitting down to an elegantly set table in the charming and tranquil dining room.
Comprising just four private en-suite air-conditioned chalets, Castleton has personalised service together with a homely bush atmosphere.
Each of the chalets commands sweeping views across the plains to the water hole that attracts a large variety of wildlife during all seasons.
Game safaris are offered in an open Land Rover, accompanied by a personal game ranger and tracker team. Walking and night safaris round off an exceptional wildlife experience which include the Big Five, cheetah, wild dog, antelope species and a vast array of spectacular birdlife.
We specialise in creating unique safaris individually tailored to the interests and convenience of each client. You may wish to spend a few days at Singita Castleton as part of a safari encompassing several contrasting regions of South Africa. Alternatively, you may decide that three or four days at Singita Castleton should be followed by a visit to Cape Town, a remote Indian Ocean island or another part of Africa. Our service is outstanding and we know these areas intimately. Contact us now by telephone or email and we will create a superb holiday perfectly tailored to your requirements.

When you book with us you receive this perfectly designed holiday, travel advice and preparation, flawless organisation of the trip, ATOL financial protection and our 25 years’ experience. Because we have excellent confidential rates with lodges and airlines, the price of your holiday will be generally the same as you would pay were you to somehow book all the lodges, transfers and flights yourself.
There is a world of difference between one of our tailormade safaris and most package holidays printed in a brochure. Package holidays are usually designed to be as cheap as possible and of course involve large numbers of people doing the same thing. Our safaris use small, more exclusive and remote camps usually with guests flying in, and often virtually everything is included in the price. The experience is completely different.
Many of these small lodges and camps have broadly similar prices, and it is possible to arrange a superb two week safari for between £4,000 to £7,000 per person ($7,000 – $11,000) season dependant, all inclusive. Realistically it is difficult to reduce that figure, and by including Botswana in peak season, chartering a private plane, disappearing to some magical desert island, or flying at the front of the plane it’s easy to substantially increase that figure!
