The interiors celebrate nature and the colours of the bush, yet Sasakwa boasts the elegant feel of a gentleman’s club contrasted with fantastic Venetian mirrors and crystal chandeliers. Here you will find every comfort including delicious meals, award winning wines and a wealth of activities. Sasakwa Lodge is the perfect space to discover the magic of the Serengeti.

The villa has 4 en-suite bedrooms, a living room, dining room, small kitchen, a nanny flat and a private infinity plunge pool in the garden.
The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most iconic and exciting safari areas with countless thousands of plains game, elephant, predators and birds roaming the open plains. With its enormous skies, wheat-coloured plains and abundant wildlife, a visit to the Serengeti is a lifetime ambition for many travellers. Grumeti Reserves are part of the great annual wildebeest migration route and even when it’s not migration season, herds of gazelle, zebra and giraffe can be found across the plains.
The migration passes through Grumeti between April and June though at all times of the year there are impressive numbers of zebra, antelope, giraffe, elephant, buffalo and other plains game. This is also a favourite haunt of predators including prides of lion, leopard and cheetah. Sasakwa’s expert guides take guests on safari early in the morning and in the afternoon, by open vehicle, seeking out the herds. They can also conduct safaris on horseback and short walking safaris where you can put Africa “under the microscope” and lean the fundamentals of tracking, going places that the vehicles cannot reach.
We specialise in creating unique safaris individually tailored to the interests and convenience of each client. You may wish to spend a few days at Singita Sasakwa as part of a safari encompassing several contrasting regions of Tanzania. Alternatively, you may decide that three of four days at Singita Sasakwa should be followed by a visit to Cape Town, a remote Indian Ocean island or another part of Africa. Our service is outstanding and we know these areas intimately. Contact us now by telephone or email and we will create a superb holiday perfectly tailored to your requirements.

There is a world of difference between one of our tailormade safaris and most package holidays printed in a brochure. Package holidays are usually designed to be as cheap as possible and of course involve large numbers of people doing the same thing. Our safaris use small, more exclusive and remote camps usually with guests flying in, and often virtually everything is included in the price. The experience is completely different.
Many of these small lodges and camps have broadly similar prices, and it is possible to arrange a superb two week safari for between £4,000 to £7,000 per person ($7,000 – $11,000) season dependant, all inclusive. Realistically it is difficult to reduce that figure, and by including Botswana in peak season, chartering a private plane, disappearing to some magical desert island, or flying at the front of the plane it’s easy to substantially increase that figure!
