Kapamba Bush Camp

Kapamba Bush Camp is situated on the Kapamba River, a tributary of the Luangwa River, in an unspoilt and remote corner of the South Luangwa National Park.

This small camp has just four chalets that have been individually designed to offer magnificent views over the Kapamba River. The open fronted style allows you to enjoy uninterrupted game viewing from the comfort of your own room. You can even watch the hippos lazing in the river below from the giant sunken bath. Kapamba has the air of an authentic pioneering camp. There is no electricity and at night the camp is lit by paraffin lamps which create a romantic and cosy atmosphere. Solar generated hot water ensures that you do not forgo any comfort even despite of the remote location.

One of the best ways to enjoy this remote wilderness is on a walking safari with an expert guide who will teach you all about the areas fauna and flora as you follow one of the many river trails. Afternoon and evening game drives are best suited for viewing the prolific game which includes a frequently seen group of wild dogs known as the ‘Kapamba pack’.
