Why the Lower Zambezi?
This park really shines between May and November, when large numbers of elephant, buffalo, zebra and kudu make their way into the valley to drink from the life-giving Zambezi River. You have a very good chance of seeing big cats in the Lower Zambezi as well, including elusive leopard and cheetah. Even the rare African wild dog can be spotted by those with a keen eye.
Admire the lovely sausage and mahogany trees – and don’t forget to check their branches for leopard – as you cruise along in an open vehicle. Better yet, hop in a canoe for a safari along the shallow waterways of the Lower Zambezi. Great for croc spotting!
