Accommodation
This is a back-to-basics exploratory experience accompanied by the owner, Andrew, who is your private guide as you explore northern Botswana’s beautiful wilderness. There’s no fixed schedule here, you’ll simply follow the wildlife and your dreams.

The camp is picked up, transported and reconstructed by a team of porters. For this reason, the camp is entirely under canvas. This is a classic safari experience but that doesn’t mean your comfort is compromised.

In the heart of the wilderness, you’ll escape the noise and distractions of modern everyday life but you won’t have to compromise your comfort.
Inside your tent, you’ll have a comfortable bed and your own private en-suite bathroom with an eco toilet and traditional safari bucket shower. Each morning porters fill the bucket with warm water for you so you can start the day feeling refreshed.

The camp’s main area is also under canvas and it’s here that you’ll enjoy sundowners and meals. If you want to eat completely al fresco, the dining table can be set up outside.

Wherever the camp happens to be, you’ll dine amongst beautiful views, feeling as though you’re the only humans to have ever set foot there.

Experiences

  • You’ll be accompanied by owner Andrew Harkness, a well-known and highly regarded guide, and the same team are with you throughout your stay. This is a highly personalised experience where every safari is unique.

  • Botswana is a wildlife haven, with particularly large populations of elephant. Game drives are a great way to see the country’s various species - leopard, cheetah, zebra and lion to name just a few.
  • Walking is the best way to get to know an area on a deep level. With your feet touching the ground you’ll feel more connected to the landscape and, going more slowly than in a vehicle, you’ll be able to stop and appreciate the fauna and flora up close.
  • Though landlocked, water is abundant in Botswana and water activities here are an excellent way to get close to nature. Jump into a traditional mokoro canoe and peacefully glide along the water enjoying the resident birdlife and the animals that come to drink.

Go Exclusive In Botswana
The best way to give your family the facilities it seeks may be to book out an entire camp or lodge. Perhaps you are planning a multi-generation safari. Or you may want to fulfil a dream of walking, mokoroing and camping out in the Okavango. You may simply crave an extra degree of privacy. Most lodges we use take fewer than 16 guests, some take only eight, so booking a whole lodge is a viable option.
